Education Scholarships

Many young people do not qualify for an education above Junior High school and those who do qualify for Senior Secondary school (high school) rarely have the funds to enter Senior Secondary school. Therefore many young people do not further their education, or work for years to afford a higher education. Many of the youth are close to or above 20 years before they can begin their Senior Secondary education.

Sustained Hope recognizes the struggles families have in providing a good higher education for their children and have created a scholarship program to help alleviate some of that struggle. Through financial benefactors Sustained Hope helps qualified young people to achieve their goals of a higher education by providing scholarships for specific youth that are financially incapable of furthering their education.

Mawufemor Teli lived in an orphanage for much of her life with her brother and cousin. Their mother has cerebral palsy and unable to care for them. Mawufemor’s uncle removed them from the orphanage a few years ago and has taken on the responsibility of raising them himself. In addition to his own 4 children and three other nieces and nephews. The uncle wants her to go on to high school but doesn’t have the funds to send her. Please consider helping Mawufemor further her education. We are requesting $30 support a month to cover all her expenses: tuition, clothing, boarding, and transportation.

We are so proud of the 6 Scholarship recipients that have successfully completed their educations and have graduated with the help of this program.

Currently there are 10 young adults in the Sustained Hope's Scholarship Program- can you make it 11?
